Slow Cooked Miso & Soy Beef Ribs

Ingredients

  • Beef short ribs
  • Onion
  • Celery
  • Carrot
  • Garlic
  • Miso
  • Beef stock
  • Star Anise
  • Cloves
  • Apple (to serve)

Method

  1. Marinate beef ribs in miso paste.
  2. Pan seal and add to the slow cooker.
  3. Caramelise some onion, celery, carrot, garlic. Deglaze with soya and add to slow cooker.
  4. Add a little water or stock, star anise and cloves.
  5. Cook for 3 hours or until tender.
  6. Serve with steamed rice and grated apple.
